“The March” is a film based on those who organized and participated in the 1963 March on Washington. The two who organized The March were A. Phillip Randolph and Bayard Rustin. The March was solely to convince the Government into desegregating armed forces and allow equal working opportunities for African Americans. Martin Luther’s “I Have a Dream” speech took place in front of an 250,000 audience. The march is known for bring many different groups of people together, such as the National Urban League, the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Congress of Racial Equality, and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. The March had a significant impact on the rights of African American citizens.
